Flaws in the MCs (Main Characters):
The hero’s problems come directly from his personality
Once a permanent problem is set in a series, there should be no cure. It must be part of his overall makeup. The flaws grow naturally with the story.
For example, in Twilight, the problem that creates obstacles is Edward being a vampire. This is not going to go away.
In The Immortals, the problem of the heroine is her natural ability to get into problems and do the wrong thing.
In Ruby Red, the heroine’s main problem is her silliness.
